    Product Quality Specialist

    The Product Quality Specialist has the role of encouraging and supporting the quality culture in Smart Power division in Napier, New Zealand and representing the customer’s voice within the team, providing customer experience feedback and input. Reporting to the Quality Manager and Integrated Production Unit Leader, you will be taking responsibility for product quality in the Integrated Production Unit

    Your responsibilities

    • Collecting and analyzing non-conformances to identify and priorities areas for improvement
    • Supporting and maintaining the quality management system of the local unit to ISO9001 requirements
    • Assisting in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements
    • Validating that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks
    • Preparing of reports and communication or current non-conformance
    • Working with cross-functional teams to coordinate the resolution of product and process non-conformance
    • Willing to travel when required to investigate quality related issues with ABB suppliers

    Your background

    • Knowledge of Current industry quality management tools and methodologies
    • Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt or higher preferred
    • Good knowledge in advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
    • Strong team player with good problem-solving skills, approaching problems with open mind and persistence to deliver on time
