Production Development Specialist

You will be working as Production Development Specialist and will be the part of Electrification business area for Smart Buildings division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the achievement of targets as project planning and lead-time to deliver

Your responsibilities

• Studying of process feasibility, planning, scheduling, execution and reviewing for new product (project) development, estimating resources and coordinating with all team members to ensure projects /task completion for switchgear products like MCB, RCCB, switch dis-connectors and wiring accessories
• Releasing scope of supply for new machine in co-ordination with CFT team, reviewing and monitoring the machine construction delivery time, cost and performances target
• Analyzing existing processes ,line balancing, head count efficiency, identifying and recommending improvement opportunities to execute projects on nonvalue added activities reduction & increase productivity by using statistical tools like MOST,VSM-VSD etc
• Preparing capital expenditure budget considering capacity enhancement, renewals and productivity, designing, development and validation of jigs, fixtures and gauges for existing and new process
• Using of PFMEA, control plan, SOP’s and process parameter sheet, having awareness of manufacturing processes for switchgear components
• Achieving product target cost and awareness of better material utilization, process audit, modifying and evaluating the existing process design for improvement

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in BE / B-Tech Mech / Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing of low voltage switchgear, working with CAD 2D/3D packages (Creo, Auto-cad), SAP, windchill and understanding of relevant IEC standards
• Knowledge of material properties, experience of lean manufacturing, welding process, thermos set and thermos plastic molding
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
