Production Engineering Specialist

You will be working as Production Engineering Specialist, reporting to Production Engineering Manager for Electrification business area, Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for optimizing the production organization assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety
Your responsibilities
- Participating in testing and validation as per drawing requirements
- Sharing specifications for development of testing fixtures and inspection gauges and their approvals
- Preparing quality plans, identifying CTQ’s based on drawings and product performance
- Finalizing vendor for development of gauges and fixtures
- Coordinating with tooling team and vendors for onsite inspection
- Coordinating with global R&D team for testing, validation and faster implementation of localization parts
- Participating with cross functional team in solving product / part issues
Your background
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related field
- Good knowledge of control gear and switchgear
- Good knowledge of quality process, LSS (Lean Six Sigma), chemical and raw material composition testing
- Knowledge on development of inspection gauges, fixtures and test setup
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
