Production Engineering Specialist

You will be working as Production Engineering Specialist, reporting to Senior Production Engineering Specialist for Electrification business area, Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for optimizing the production organization’s assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety

Your responsibilities

• Evaluating the drawing submitted by consultant to ensure it as per design brief and in compliance with necessary statutory requirement of MEP works and C&I
• Providing input on MEP to design team at concept design stage considering process engineer input
• Tracking, monitoring, and coordinating on design and site activities with consultant, architect, and with all stakeholders
• Preparing detailed project plan, managing pre-construction documentation, method statement, quality plan, MOM, weekly progress report, RFI, quality and NC report
• Following up with contractor /vendor on scheduled material delivery to site
• Conducting weekly review meeting with consultant, contractor on work progress, construction schedule, design, and quality issues
• Preparing the detailed equipment technical specification & RFQ for any construction & MEP in alignment with ABB standards

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge in AutoCAD project management
• Knowledge about DG & transformer commissioning
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
