Production Planner

The role reports to the Master schedule Planner and is located in Mebane, North Carolina. As a Production Planner, you will be supporting projects within the factory from order entry all the way to shipment; and works closely with cross-functional team members to achieve business goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain detailed production schedules to meet shipment dates per the master schedule
• Establishes sequence and lead time of relevant operations in the schedule
• Creates & releases manufacturing work orders
• Reacts to daily plant-level Material Requirements Planning (MRP), to manage production and meet delivery schedules
• Monitors inventory. Works with Procurement, Materials Management, and Operations to optimize material availability and resolve any upcoming issues that may affect the schedule
• Tracks job progress and insures correct flow of information. Escalates deviations as needed
• Monitors adherence to the schedule and makes necessary adjustments or corrections
• Identifies problems and assists with root cause analysis and/or improvement actions

Your background

• High school diploma with 1 year experience with customer service
• 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Must be familiar and have practical experience with SAP and other applicable software
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be self-motivated with a high level of engagement
• Adept problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and work teams
• Experience in dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
