Production Scheduler 1st shift

The role reports to the Production Manager and is located in Mebane, North Carolina. As a Production Scheduler 1st shift, you will be supporting projects within the factory from order entry all the way to shipment, working closely with cross-functional team members to achieve business goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed production schedules per the master schedule
• Establish sequence and lead time of each operation in a set schedule to be executed by the Production Planner
• Monitors schedule adherence, identifies key root causes for deviations and takes follow-up improvement actions
• Feed information on production capacity issues to the production planner
• Provide accurate information regarding material available to Material Planner/Buyer
• Execute daily, plant-level materials requirement planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirement to meet the production delivery schedules
• Monitor inventory. Work with Procurement, Materials Management and Operations to optimize material availability and resolve any issues that may affect the schedule
• Make any necessary adjustments or corrections to the schedule
• Identify problems and assist with improvement actions
• Participate in and/or run weekly meetings

Your background

• 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Must be familiar and have practical experience with SAP and other applicable software
• Strong Microsoft skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be self-motivated with a high level of engagement
• Adept problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and work teams
• Experience in dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment
