Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

The Production Supervisor will be the representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports the Motion Business Area goals in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Production Manager

Your responsibilities

• Fostering a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed
• Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department
• Will be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping, and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas. Will, also, be responsible for improving quality, safety, productivity, and overall performance
• Operate in compliance with OSHA (Occupation Safety and Health Administration) and MSDS (Material safety data sheet​) standards
• Must have high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area
• Must work with all other departments, supervisors, and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals
• Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and discipline direct reports

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 0-2 years experience OR Associates Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Preferred Experience Includes: Lean/6 Sigma Certifications, SAP, Kronos and previous experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
• Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USA
