    Production Supervisor

    This position involves heading a team in the business area, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policies. In this role, you will aid in the transformation of parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner, managing resources to meet production targets.

    Your responsibilities

    • Make sure the assigned hourly personnel follow the safety rules and be aware of any upcoming and potentially unsafe condition that requires immediate attention.
    • Coordinate the Production Plan and Execution of the Wiring Panels (internal and outsourced), which is the most critic and labor consuming activity performed in the Production Areas.
    • Coordinate the required training for the assigned wiring hourly personnel to guarantee quality and manufacturing standards are met.
    • Balance workload for the assigned hourly personnel in order to be able to react to the requirements from customers.
    • Coordinate the Daily Operational Review (when temporally substitute the Production Supervisor in first shift), where all the support areas are involved to follow the plan to meet the required objectives.
    • Follow the individual performance of the wiring hourly personnel in order to be able to make the required assessment per employee in a three-month basis.
    • Provide feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing to be able to improve methods that enhance productivity.
    • Perform One Point Lessons to reinforce concepts that are critical for the correct performance in manufacturing.
    • Support the Production Supervisors with assigned group so that they are covered when they use their vacations or have to be absent from the factory.

    Your background

    • Bachelor´s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
    • 2-5 years of experience on assembly processes and managing hourly personnel.
    • Ability to manage personnel and technical skills to understand and follow electrical and mechanical drawings.
    • Experience and knowledge in Production Planning at the shop floor level.
    • Intermediate English level.
