Production Supervisor (m/f/d) – MCB Production

This position involves heading a team in the ELSB Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) production, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policies. Reporting to the Production Manager you will aid in the transformation of parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner, managing resources to meet production targets.

Your responsibilities
- Leading capacity planning and resource optimization for the responsible area within the MCB production
- Identifying deficiencies in production, proposing improvements, and overseeing their implementation
- Identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements
- Working with HR Management to ensure that the responsible area of the MCB production is properly organized, staffed,
- skilled and directed
- Guiding, motivating and developing less experienced team members to reach their potential
Your background
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production
- Superior knowledge of manual manufacturing processes and automated production lines.
- Leading teams on production shopfloor and supervisory experience is an advantage
- Further education as supervisor, technician or similar in a mechanical or electrical environment
- Knowledge of MS Office, SAP/SAP Warehouse Management, personnel deployment planning tools
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement projects and lean management (https://e.g. KAIZEN, Lean Six Sigma)
- Good knowledge regarding health & safety and quality standards and requirements (https://e.g. ISO 9000 – 9004)
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Good comprehension and resilience in combination with strong ability to work in a team
- Fluent in German, good in English
- Working in rotating shift model including saturday work
