    NewGen PA is a business-driven program that focuses on a more robust and globally integrated technology architecture, moving away from fragmented, multiple, and legacy systems that create business limitations. This program enables us to simplify our landscape to operate on a more data-driven model where we can reliably make better and faster critical business and strategic decisions This critical role will report to the Program Management Lead and work as part of a wider team of PMO professionals to manage delivery of the NewGen Program to specification, plan and budget. The PMO support will help to ensure smooth day to day operation of the program and play a key role in ensuring the program is effectively planned, tracked and reported in line with the program objectives and agreed delivery methodology. This includes supporting the Delivery Towers in developing plans, reporting progress and tracking the key RAIDDS (Risks, Actions, Issues, Deliverables and Decisions), managing critical project logistics e.g., key meetings, calendars and resource scheduling plans, and in enabling effective operation of the Governance Boards through agendas, decision logging, and other logistical tasks.

    Your responsibilities

    • Support the Program Manager in the day to day delivery of the program
    • Support planning and reporting of the program
    • Support key meeting preparation, planning and logistics coordination including booking facilities, ensuring agendas are prepared and that meeting content is being effectively developed against the program timeline
    • Managing critical project documentation, ensuring that all Risks, Actions, Issues, Deliverables and Decisions logs are up to date on a timely basis
    • Supporting the Program Manager in running weekly project management routines and meetings
    • Liaising with key internal stakeholders and support staff to manage executive team diaries and ensure availability for key governance meetings
    • Deal with emerging urgent project items on a day to day basis to support smooth running of the program
    • Managing the central NewGen PA program calendar and central email address lists
    • Managing the central document management solution ensuring that the file structure is up to date and that documentation is routinely updated
    • Supporting the onboarding of new project members, training them on the program delivery methodologies, disciplines and allocating buddies as required to ensure smooth transition into the new roles
    • Helping to structure and issue project communications as required, working with the change and communications teams
    • Set up and deploy templates which can be utilised by the team e.g. to manage holiday schedules, availability or track wellbeing, in line with ABB methodologies and policies

    Your background

    • Have some experience of working in a complex and fast moving environment
    • Some experience of working in a project delivery role with exposure to and/or training in project management methodologies and tools
    • A critical willingness to learn, grow and take on responsibility
    • An organiser with a strong ‘can do’ attitude
    • Good people and communications skills, with an ability to adapt to changing requirements
    • Possess excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Good attention to detail
