In this position, you will be the technical lead and design authority for engineering activities related to Medium Voltage System Drives in Motion, System Drives in Untersiggenthal, Switzerland In this role, you take ownership of the overall system design for Special Application Drives Projects. This includes developing dedicated hardware and software solutions for System Drives. Furthermore, you will establish concepts for PLC solution in engineered solutions as well as tools, processes, and awareness for existing software solutions. Your responsibilities

• Conduct studies, emulation and simulation (digital twins, HiL) for Special Applications during tendering, execution, and commissioning phase
• Team up with R&D and Drive System Experts for Special Applications and Gridsimulator Projects
• Technical support of sales, Project Management and Packaging Engineering incl attendance of customer meetings
• Support or conduct tuning activities for Special Applications commissioning (5% of travelling)
• Drive continues improvement project within the Team and with external Partners
• Continuous self-improvement by conducting and participating trainings and courses

Your background

• MSc in Automatization Engineering, Drives Technology or similar
• Recognized expert skills in one or several domains (power electronics, control design)
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and programing skills (C++)
• Other PLC Languages (CodeSys) are beneficial
• Good leadership capabilities and customer focus
• Result-oriented working style
• Thinking and acting systemically
• Good communication skills (German and English) and social competence
