You will be working as Project Engineer and reporting to Engineering Manager for Process Automation, Energy Industries division in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for Designing authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity and completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
Your responsibilities
- Experience in designing, engineering, and commissioning of industrial electrical distribution, preferable experience in Oil / Gas/ Petrochemical plant projects
- Carrying out PMS engineering starting from internal KOM till the inspection of the electrical equipment
- Supporting the site team for commissioning and handing over of the field of electrical equipment and carrying out site survey for estimation and finalization of the BOM
- Supporting PM for finalization of the project schedule and assist for customer review meetings
- Ensuring document submission to customer as per agreed Document Control Index
- Responsible to ensure quality of engineer deliverables to PM, SCM and the customer
- Coordinating with vendor and interact with customer/consultant for seeking engineer approvals
- Supporting SCM & PM for procurement related engineering and for cost optimization and submit the drawings and documents required for carrying out site erection
Your background
- Degree in BE/B.tech (electrical)
- Minimum 4 to 5years of experience in Engineering, design & sizing of GIS, AIS, MV Panels, CRP, PCC, MCC, ACDB, MLDB, cable sizing, cable schedule, substation layout, earthing, relay coordination, relay selection and control wiring of HT panels, with interlock etc
- Handling support engineers for carrying out design, engineering & commissioning of electrical power distribution system
- Interacting with the customer for seeking engineering document approvals in the project
- Interacting with vendors for evaluating their technical offers & support SCM during finalization of vendors
