To strengthen our Engineering team, we are looking for a Project Engineer to work on the IT part of Control Systems in the field of power/industrial plants. An open-mind, customer orientation and innovation are key-factors for success in our working environment.

Group Manager Operations Control Systems and Service

Your responsibilities

• Assisting the Project Lead Engineers to implement projects in a functional capacity, focusing on process control systems installed at power and industrial plants
• Planning, installation, and configuration of project-specific control systems with a focus on Network, Virtualization, Cyber Security and Digitalization
• Ensure the seamless compatibility of technical concepts for Engineering, testing, installation, and commissioning within the context of project execution
• Define interfaces with third-party systems and manage them until commissioning of systems has been completed
• Provide sales support during bids and proposals as well as for concept presentations at customers
• Assisting Project Managers and Project Lead Engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors
• Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline
• Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites as well as maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree of Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Studies considered an asset
• More than 3 years of experience relating to information technology for power or industrial plants would be an advantage
• Negotiating skills in German and English, both written and spoken; additional foreign language skills desirable
• Sound knowledge of Virtualization, Network Architecture and Cyber Security
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
• Knowledge of ABB control system 800xA considered advantageous
