Project Engineer

You will be working as Project Engineer, reporting to Engineering Manager for Electrification business area, Distribution Solutions division based in Hyderabad, India. You will be responsible for assigning engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements

Your responsibilities

• Creating the digital engineering design concept/philosophy definition. Evaluating and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform engineering assignments
• Developing PLC programs, HMI/SCADA system design, RTU / PMS control system design as per customer requirements
• Utilizing standard processes and programming tools like ZENON, ZEE600, ABB Automation Builder, etc. Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities
• Providing design verification support to the assigned factory/local division. Creating work plans and cost estimates for work in own area of responsibility and proactively managing this work to deliver the agreed program on time, on quality and at the targeted cost
• Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. Implementing the changes approved by Project Manager or Lead Engineer

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in electronics / communication / instrumental engineering
• Minimum 3-8 years of project experience
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, substation automation, protection & control system
• Preference to knowledge on ZENON, ZEE600 and ABB CP600
• Sound knowledge of PLC applications using IEC61131 programming standard and ABB AC500 PLC
• Good knowledge about Design of RTU and PMS system
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
