    Project Engineer (m/f/d) - Human System Interface

    You are a project engineer in the Human System Interface department with a focus on customer inquiries and orders. In this position, you are responsible for the development of project-specific deliverables – always with the factors time and budget as well as quality and safety guidelines in focus.

    Senior Engineering Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Participation in order processing for HSI and IM systems until the ready-to-use handover of the system to the customer
    • Creation of specifications and concepts (IT security, network technology, cabling, operation and monitoring)
    • Elaboration of technical details, costs and service descriptions for offers
    • Specification, selection and ordering of hardware and software
    • Configuration, installation, system testing and commissioning. Creation of project-specific documentation
    • Coordination discussions with customers about use and scope of delivery
    • Competent contact person for technical problems, both remotely and on-site with national and international customers – travel activity approx. 25 percent, of which 60-70 percent within Germany
    • Interface to other ABB units
    • Maintain and increase customer satisfaction through the best service throughout all project phases
    • Acting independently with a sure feel for your colleagues and the business – in line with our ABB values of safety and integrity

    Your background

    • Successfully completed vocational training or studies in the field of electrical engineering / information technology or in a comparable field
    • Ideally 2-3 years of professional experience in engineering
    • Well acquainted with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of network technology / IT security
    • Knowledge of Virtual Systems (VMWare)
    • Fluency in spoken and written German and English is a prerequisite
    • Clear view of occupational safety and the requirement to consistently comply with all safety guidelines
    • A high degree of self-motivation, curiosity and the desire to learn about new technologies.
    • Collaborative and solution-oriented working style as well as strong communication skills
