    Project Lead Engineer

    This is a Project Lead Engineer role, reporting to the Technical Authority in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible for provision of sound technical solutions in line with project requirements, leadership, mentoring, ensuring the project manager/ engineering team leader are kept informed of progress and issues in a timely fashion.

    Your responsibilities

    • Reviewing customers' specifications and examining new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to desired contract terms and conditions. Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on contract performance, and controlling contract documents. Maintaining a centralized project control process and enforcing necessary controls to assure maximum project profitability
    • Following guidelines and establishing procedures to initiate price change requests, applying mark-ups, preparing quotations, and implementing changes, as appropriate
    • Reviewing and coordinating flow of information among various groups and customers, and implementing measures to resolve routine problems, ensuring meeting schedule commitments and achieve customer satisfaction
    • Ability to develop equipment specifications for small and medium-sized projects involving HMI’s, DCS System and Hardware
    • Experienced in Design, configuration, integration, and implementation of process control solutions for Chemical and Speciality Chemical segments
    • Proven knowledge of Software and Hardware design, Commissioning, and test experience with any of the DCS
    • Hands-on experience in Application Engineering tool with in any of the DCS. Having 800xA knowledge is an added advantage
    • Hands-on experience in Graphic engineering/development in any of the DCS
    • Knowledge of the field instrumentation (sensors, transducers, drives related to Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level etc.…)
    • Should be able to Conduct SAT & FAT of the control systems
    • Working knowledge on interfaces (Profibus, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, etc.)
    • Good knowledge of network engineering and IT developments (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, virus scanners, interfaces, backup)
    • Participate in meetings to provide information on assigned projects and resolve problems

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree and 7 to 10 year’s experience in chemical and Speciality Chemical with automation execution background
    • Knowledge of 800xA, AC800M and Advant Controllers
    • Process knowledge of chemical and Specialty Chemicals Industry
    • Proven knowledge of Software and Hardware design, commissioning, and test experience with any of the DCS
    • Hands-on experience in Application Engineering tool with in any of the DCS. Having 800xA knowledge is an added advantage
    • Hands-on experience in Graphic engineering/development in any of the DCS
