Project Manager

This is a Project Manager role, reporting to the Project Operations Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to lead the execution of medium-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

Your responsibilities

• Leading the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones
• Defining, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans
• Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization
• Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements
• Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues
• Ensuring the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies

Your background

• Bachelors in Engineering in Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Stream
• 15+years of relevant work experience
• Minimum 5+ years experience in Project Management/ Automation(DCS,PLC&Instrumentation), IT & Electrical related / Energy Industries (Oil& GAS/Chemical & Pharmaceutical/Power Generation & water.)ERP System Proficient with MS Office Suite Proven working experience in project management
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
• Six Sigma Certification- Preferred
• Experience with high volume/complexity/Upgrade Project Business and low volume manufacturing business
