    Project Manager

    In this role, you will oversee projects within the Energy Solutions, Process Automation Energy Industries (PAEN), providing clear guidelines, tasks and mile stones, while motivating and providing feedback. You will be responsible in managing projects and provide superior customer service including communication, coordination, delivery and issue resolution. Ideal candidates must possess understanding of electrical equipment and control systems. The candidate must be articulate with strong communication skills and must enjoy spending time with people to understand their specific issues and desires in order to identify innovative solutions for established and new customers. In addition, Project Manager is responsible for managing very complex and strategic projects and be the primary interface with the client focused on ensuring contractual obligations are met on time and on budget, while achieving customer satisfaction.

    Your responsibilities

    • Review customer specifications and examine new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to the desired contract terms and conditions
    • The Project Manager is responsible for the financial outcome of all projects
    • Communicate delays or improvements to scheduled plans promptly to the customer or other stake holders
    • Drive requests and unresolved issues to the designated source for expedient resolution
    • Create and execute project Schedules and work plans, revising as needed, to meet changing client needs and requirements
    • Work with sales/ proposals organization to identify risks and mitigation plans. Single point of contact for all technical, commercial and quality aspects on assigned project
    • Identify, manage and control project risks to minimize our exposure while meeting client needs. Effectively communicate and negotiate change orders for margin enhancement
    • Accountable for revenue recognition, timely and accurate invoicing, and eliminating disputes/ past dues
    • Manage project profitability, revenue and margins. Effectively facilitate project status reviews with clients and internal project team
    • Report progress on projects to all project stakeholders, internal and external. Ensures a clear understanding of the project contractual requirements by the project team
    • Ensure HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standard is fulfilled during project execution

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum 5 years of experience managing Electrification, Automation & Controls projects for external customers
    • At least 5 years of experience in Oil, Gas or Specialty Chemicals industry, Power or Water industry
    • Proficient English Speaker with Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proven Project Management skills
    • Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team/ organization
    • Strong skills in developing customer relationships, Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of urgency in dealing with tasks
    • PMP or other project management certification preferred
    • Knowledgeable in dealing with EPC’s and vendors/ fabricators preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, PowerPoint /Excel / Projects preferred
    • Understanding of SAP (Enterprise resource planning ERP software/ system) and Planisware scheduling software would be beneficial
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
