Project Manager Business Harmonization & Internal control (m/f/d) – limited until end of June 2025

In this position you will support and facilitate the assessment of financial reporting risks. You will also be involved in the design, implementation and maintenance of a high quality system of internal control over financial reporting. This position will be based in Berlin, Germany or Krakow, Poland.

This position reports to

Head of Finance

Your responsibilities

  • Identification and implementation of measure for harmonization efforts to ABB processes such as master-data governance, sales order recording, etc.
  • Analysis of the existing SAP FI / CO landscape with regards to required harmonization efforts support by experts from the respective group IS Team
  • Implementation and operation of Internal Controls over financial reporting guided by ABB’s methodology for Internal Control over Financial Reporting
  • Implementation of Business Area Authorization Tables and related Business Policies and Procedures

Your background

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting is a benefit, but not a must
  • Mind. 3 years of experience in controlling, (internal-) audit or internal control relates areas
  • Solid understating of internal controls concepts, methodology and practices
  • SAP ERP (FI/CO) experience is a must
  • Strong communication skills – both written and spoken
  • Fluent in English and good knowledge in German
  • Courage to confront difficult issues with the appropriate response
