Project Manager Operations

We are looking for a talented Operations Project Manager to join our E-mobility facility located in San Giovanni Valdarno (AR). In this role you will be part of the global PMO team driving global operations projects with focus on Public vertical market as long as strategic initiatives. You will be the contact point for key stakeholder in operations and development PMO for the assigned project domain. You will drive and execute program and projects ensuring all the deliverables are met within the required time, cost and quality. You will act in an international and multicultural environment running the ABB values to achieve business targets. The Operations Project Manager will report to the Operations PMO Lead and work closely with the Operations Leadership Team as key member of the Operations Team. The successful candidate is a dynamic, solution driven, have exceptional communication skills, be strong in project planning, have a driving desire to get things done, and enjoy interactions with individuals throughout our organization. Success in this role will require the ability to build strong working relationships with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering and product development.
Your responsibilities
- Work with the Operations Leadership Team to implement End-to-End projects which support the strategic growth of E-mobility business.
- Define project plans, tasks, resources allocation and ownership to fulfill operations deliverables and ensure products and services reach the marked according to the requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the planning implementation and execution of task.
- Proactively work to remove project obstacles, find solution, and manage issue escalations on project exception with the proper stakeholder.
- Provide support to project teams balancing cross-project dependencies.
- Provide timely status reports, risks analysis, resource allocation and customer impact overview
- Implement and maintain the project KPIs using data analytics platforms.
- Work with controlling function to Identify and manage costs associated with project execution
- Partner with Continuous Improvement Leaders and Operations functions to drive improvement projects on: Manufacturing, NPI, Sourcing, Product Engineering, Planning, Guarantee a smooth and flawless project handover from Product development and Operations teams.
- Interface with front-end and quality for product introduction in the market including and not limited to field pilot and customized products.
- Be active on enhancing the project management processes including governance and metrics
- Work with internal and external stakeholder for the implementation of new PMO digital workplace defining and deploying tooling and best practice.
Your background

- 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing company or Manufacturing role.
- 5+ years’ experience on project management.
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP/MRP, MES / MOM systems.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in technical discipline, Master degree preferred.
- Prior experience establishing manufacturing and transactional projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean, 5S, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Value Stream and Process Mapping.
- Excellent use of MS office suite, MS project and Data analytics platforms.
- Availability to travel both domestic and international.
- Professional written & verbal English.
