    Project Operations Manager

    You will be working as Project Operations Manager and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Sub-PG Technology Manager-Chemicals. You will be primarily responsible for leading the execution of blending projects and ensure operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, relevant cyber security regulations and standards, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments

    Your responsibilities

    • Leading the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones
    • Leading the implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local or regional project operation under the guidance of the Global Operations Manager
    • Ensuring that the portfolio of projects is managed consistently based on best practices and ABB Policies, Controls and SOX requirements
    • Participating in Sales and Operations planning with other members of the Business Line management and takes actions to close potential gaps in project execution capability and capacity
    • Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identifying, qualifying, quantifying and managing project risks and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued
    • Supervising project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and Project Teams to ensure contract fulfilment and approves any project deviations
    • Ensuring that projects consistently apply contract and claims management methodologies, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements and in interaction and close collaboration with respective functions

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s in Chemical, Process Engineering or Mechanical engineering or similar
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar position, handling complex projects that involved multi-discipline engineering in mechanical, electrical, instrumentations and automation
    • Fluent in English (read, written and spoken), French speaking would be added advantage not mandatory
    • Knowledge of equipment technology such as agitator, pumps, screw conveyor, storage tank, Silo and Hopper, filtration, powder storage, Valves and accessories, Piping carbon steel and stainless steel
    • Knowledge of liquid blending and metering, powders handling, and dosing, transfer and control process is preferred
    • Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules: HSE is everyone's business
