The Quality Specialist has the role of deploying and facilitating the quality culture in ELIS Packaging and E-Houses, Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS), ensuring and controlling quality to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations, and representing the customer’s voice within local teams, providing customer experience feedback and input. You will be responsible to deploy and support a Quality Culture within local ABB, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Supports and maintains the Quality Management System of the local unit.

Your responsibilities
- Identify and develop quality standards, both external and internal
- Responsible and accountable for project quality on major projects
- Play a proactive role in prevention/solving of quality issues on projects during its life cycle by leveraging lessons learned and best practices, addressing issues highlighted by internal and external stake holders about potential areas of concern that could affect project flawless execution, customer experience and profitability
- Prepare/analyze data to identify quality issues on Projects
- Investigate project issues and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) techniques to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans
- Be customer’s point of contact for quality issues on large projects, take the lead and work cross functionally to resolve project quality issues and close the loop with customers
- Audit processes to identify opportunities to improve, establish control plan to improve Quality, Customer experience, Safety, On time delivery and profitability
- Work closely with leadership and employees to drive a culture focused on customer value, employee engagement, process standardization and continuous improvement
- Perform supplier audits with high rigor and monitor their performance and contribution to overall ABB success and Customer experience
- Health, safety and environment (HSE): Reinforces and maintains a culture of Health & Safety in all project operations
Your background
- BS/BA Degree and minimum 3 years additional experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Operations and Data Analysis
- At least 3 years of experience in Electrical Distribution industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills: ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels in the organization and external contacts
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Certifications in Lean or Six Sigma a plus
- Highly Analytical / Clear Thinker
- Experience in executing complex or specialized projects; possesses working knowledge of project management, quality management systems, and supply chain
- High energy level, self starter and self driven
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of urgency in dealing with tasks
- Proven experience implementing simplification and standardization initiatives
- Has good influencing skills when leading cross functional initiatives
- Has a Customer Centric behavior, is able to deal with complex Customers (internal and external) and meet specific requirements when needed. Strives for achieving the Project goals and Customer satisfaction
- Has passion for the work "well done first time", intellectual rigor and professional discipline while running the project portfolio. Good knowledge of Power Equipment products, processes, and solutions
- Has strong team leadership and team building skills, team player
- Available to travel at short notice
