Quality Manager

Drive the local quality system through the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response and sustainable solution to problems. Coordinate the efforts of all necessary local functions that impact on the quality results in order to reach the targets for the organizational unit. Ensure that the necessary certification requirements are met throughout the organization.

Your responsibilities

• Deploys strategy, objectives and targets for Quality Management in line with the Quality Management System, Quality Policy and local strategy.
• Supports the management to demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the quality management system.
• Ensures appropriate internal and external communication relevant to the quality management.
• Continuously identifies and addresses risks and opportunities related to Quality Management.
• Ensures a closed-loop quality cycle and customer experience feedback to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met.
• Performs audits and ensures the use of analytics of quality data from all parts of the organization to identify risks, failures and non-conformances.
• Ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken and solutions are managed to closure.
• Works within ABB local organizational units / functions to avoid problems when delivering solutions or services to customers.
• Acts as a local process owner/sponsor for the assigned processes, including definition & documentation (Plan), implementation &
• communication (Do), supervision & control (Check) and continuous improvement (Act) of the process.
• Ensures the Voice of the Customer is represented at the local unit and that risks, problems and solutions are evaluated from a customer/stakeholder point of view.
• Drives resolution of customer cases to completion, following robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Leads the development and deployment of local policies, regulations and processes that make up the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensures governance of local Quality related systems and tools in close collaboration with the Continuous Improvement function, IS, and other
• functions as appropriate.
• Drives initiatives, to improve on agreed aspects of Quality, in close collaboration with local units and across multiple units or functions as applicable.
• Ensures effective and efficient review of Quality Management System by local leadership to sustain its continuing suitability, adequacy, effectiveness and alignment with the strategic direction of the
• organization and to identify opportunities for improvement.

Your background

• Preferred:
• Previous experience in a Quality Manager, quality specialist or continuous improvement role
• Internal ISO 9001 auditor certificate
• Prior experience in a projects based environment
