    Quality Specialist

    As a Continuation Improvement Specialist, you will be establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in ABB, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology and creating transparency to monitor progress. The Quality Specialist has the role of deploying and facilitating the quality culture in the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) division, Instrumentation Business Area to ensure and control the quality to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations and representing the customer’s voice within local teams, providing customer experience feedback and input. In this role you will provide assistance with and maintain the quality management system, managing all aspects in line with guidance from ABB Group/division/business area.

    Your responsibilities

    • Assisting in implementing internal controls to verify that processes meet requirements and making sure that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating risks
    • Enabling and coaching employees to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view
    • Utilizing systems and tools to assist the Engineering function with product data and evaluations to ensure that products meet expectations throughout their lifecycle
    • Utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to assure effective introduction of new products
    • Helping local teams apply an operational approach and process management system that is continually evaluated for effectiveness
    • Performing audits and using analytics to identify risks, failures and non conformances and assisting in applying corrective and preventive action
    • Providing quality training to local teams, enabling them to define and document processes that are efficient and under control

    Your background

    • Bachelors degree in Industrial, mechanical, electronics, engineering or operations/business administration management and minimum 5 years of experience in a quality role in a manufacturing plant environment
    • Sound knowledge in Quality fundamentals, implementation, ISO 9001.2015 and Process Auditing
    • Knowledge of SAP & MS Soft Suite
    • A collaborative, solution focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills

    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
