Quality Specialist

You will be working as Quality Specialist and will be part of Motion business area for system drives division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Quality Manager and will be responsible in deploying and supporting a Quality Culture within local ABB, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System of the local unit.

Your responsibilities

• Assisting in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements
• Representing the voice of the customer within local teams. Enabling and coaching employees to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view
• Utilizing ABB Group aligned systems and tools to assist the Engineering function with Product data and analysis to validate that Products continue to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle
• Utilizing the local Quality Management System to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities
• Performing audits and using quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and non-conformances within the local operations, its suppliers and customers
• Providing quality training to local teams enabling them to define and document processes that are efficient and under control

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality field and minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Cabinet Manufacturing
• Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, preferred Six Sigma GB certified to have EH&S, Lean, 5S, Lean six sigma green belt certification
• Experience in Quality/Process Improvement Tools: L6S, 7Q tools, FMEA, VSM, APQP/PPAP
• Knowledge on basic statistical analysis & illustrations and software skills like MS-Office, MS-Visio and Minitab
• Ability to achieve business competitive excellence through process improvement, decision making & problem-solving tools
