    You will be working as Quality Specialist and will be part of Motion Business Area for Large Motors & Generators Division based in Vadodara, India. In this role you will be reporting to Quality Manager and will be responsible in deploying and supporting a Quality Culture within local ABB, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.

    Your responsibilities

    • Assisting in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements
    • Representing the Voice of the Customer within local teams. Enabling and coaching employees to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view
    • Utilizing ABB Group aligned systems and tools to assist the Engineering function with Product data and analysis to validate that Products continue to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle
    • Utilizing the local Quality Management System to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities
    • Performing audits and using Quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and non-conformances within the local operations, its suppliers and customers
    • Providing quality training to local teams enabling them to define and document processes that are efficient and under control

    Your background

    • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgy Engineering
    • Minimum 8 to 12 years of relevant experience from motor industries
    • Hand on experience on QAP (Quality Assurance Plan/Control Plan) and PDI checklist
    • Excellent in SPC, Machine capability studies and 7 QC tools and Proficient in manufacturing process like painting, brazing, machining etc
    • Good in customer compliant handling and customer focus
    • Detailed knowledge & proficiency in 8D and other problem-solving techniques
    • Minimum SIX sigma Yellow Belt certification
