Quality Specialist

You will be working as Quality Specialist and will be part of Motion Business Area for Traction Division based in Vadodara, India. In this role you will be reporting to Business Manager - Operations and will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems to support internal and external quality standards. Leading internal teams in quality system implementation and serve as ongoing support for quality issues

Your responsibilities

• Developing and implementing quality systems (including quality plans and quality control plans). Providing consulting with internal stakeholders
• Defining processes and procedures in accordance with standard requirements and ABB Group procedures, directives and policies on quality. Stopping the production whenever quality requirements are not mate
• Performing periodic audits to check the compliance of activities with requirements, procedures and directives. Preparing non-conformity reports and investigates their resolution
• Participating in supplier certification and periodic evaluations. Performing evaluation visits to critical suppliers in qualification stage
• Collecting and maintaining data on key performance indicators, cost of poor quality, on time delivery and others

Your background

• BE/B tech in Mechanical engineering
• Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience of Rotating Machines, preferably from traction motor business / railway industry
• Strong Strategic, planning, execution, organizational skill is a must
