Quotation Specialist

You will be working as Quotation Specialist and will be part of Motion Business Area for IEC LV Motors Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Contact Center Support Manager and will be responsible for creating and completing bids, estimations, quotations, technical advice and specific calculations based on customer specification and / or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Maintaining and improving the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in responsibility.

Your responsibilities

• Formulating competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation
• Supporting the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. Ensuring quotes are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs
• Managing the preparation of offer including all technical documentation, prices and trading conditions. Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs
• In accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, ensuring that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures
• Preparing commercial and technical quote documentation and collecting and archiving documentation regarding the offer and records assumptions. Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels
• Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements
• Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships (LSU) to understand customer needs. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process

Your background

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience as electrical engineer and either worked in quotation support or motor experience
• Deep analytical acumen and strong quantitative analytical skills
• Knowledge of Sales Force, Power Bi and regarding motors is necessary
• Skills such as organization, target oriented, customer focus is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Fluent communication in English, additional language as an advantage
