R&D Engineer

You will be working as R&D Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement and Analytics Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Project Manager and will be responsible for identifying, proposing and implementing innovative technology, software or solutions by contributing with your ideas.

Your responsibilities

  • Understanding the product or software requirements along with contributing to designing of components and the implementation of proposals
  • Implementing and validating of own component as per company defined software development processes
  • Performing a variety of tasks in the assigned area from concepts and requirements through design, implementation, integration and testing to technology transfer or maintenance and operations
  • Understanding and applying applicable processes, standards, guidelines and requirements including architectural and design constraints
  • Driving the achievement of assigned targets and addressing risks. Proposing and participating in relevant product and process improvement programs
  • Documenting work results (like findings, designs or software) solidly while allowing others to maintain and improve them
  • Understanding the importance of IP for ABB's business and contributing to IP discussions in their projects

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or MCA
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in .Net Developer, .Net Core domain
  • Knowledge of SDLC or TDLC processes and tools, experience with agile methodologies, devops project delivery practices
  • Good debugging skills for microsoft based applications
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and address key issues with maximum integrity and professionalism
