R&D Engineer

You will be working as R&D Engineer and will be part of Motion business area for Drive products division based in Bangalore, India. Identifies, proposes, and implements innovative technology, software and/or solutions by contributing with own ideas. Works independently as a member of an R&D team.

Your responsibilities

• Designing, coding and setting up automation-based unit testing of software products based on the requirements.
• Developing solutions and successfully taking on complex technical problems and higher responsibilities.
• Demonstrating innovation in processes followed and/or solutions delivered and encouraged it within the team.
• Setting up a continuous build environment to speed up software development and deployment process.
• Maintaining systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
• Creating design documents, technical specifications, and test cases in line with quality systems.
• Adhering to processes, defined software development methodologies and best practices within the team. • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• B.E / B-Tech -Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation with 3 to 8 Year of industry experience
• Work in an international agile software development team
• Architecting, Designing, coding and unit testing of software modules based on the requirements.
• Developing existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for improvements
• Maintaining systems by identifying and correcting software defects
• Creating Design/Architecture documents, technical specifications and test cases in line with Quality systems
