We are offering a position as a R&D Engineer at ABB Oy, Large Motors and Generators unit in Helsinki. You will be part of our mechanical engineering team in Research and Development. In this position, you will execute development and maintenance tasks for large motors and generators product designs. Your responsibilities

• Product development and maintenance for large motors and generators
• Mechanical engineering in 2D and 3D environments
• PDM system engineering
• Executing tasks in R&D projects
• Working closely with mechanical engineers around the globe to ensure effective development
• Cross functional collaboration

Your background

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• Several years experience of industrial machine engineering
• Several years experience of some 2D and 3D engineering softwares (e.g. AutoCad, NX)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Teamwork skills, interest in product development and desire to learn new things
• Ability to work in group, including with people from different cultural backgrounds
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish
