    In this role, you will contribute creative ideas to R&D projects, as well as proposing follow-up projects and activities based on new ideas. Reporting to the Head of Control & IO Software Minden (North Rhine-Westphalia), Germany you will contribute significantly to successful results in delivering Distributed Control Systems to our customers.

    Your responsibilities

    • Contributing to the full software development process (implementation, testing and validation) for the embedded hardware used in the system (new products as well as maintenance of legacy systems)
    • Reviewing requirements, creating high quality design, and implementing efficient and effective solutions
    • Developing software according to quality and security guideline, mainly industrial communication protocols
    • Analyzing customer issues and solve problems

    Your background

    • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent
    • Min. 2 years of experience in embedded SW development, working as R&D engineer with embedded targets
    • Knowledge of Embedded Software architectures and operating systems
    • Skilled in Assembler, C, C++
    • Knowledge in Ethernet based communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Modbus TCP…)
    • Knowledge in latest agile development frameworks like Scrum, and traditional models like V model
    • Knowledge in practices and tools like DevOps, Azure DevOps Services
    • Good English skills in reading, listening, speaking & writing; German at least B1 level
    • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
    • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills
