R&D Engineer (f/m/d) Product Care

In your role as R&D Design and Development Engineer you will significantly contribute to the development of next generation Din Rail products for energy distribution in industry and data centers. With your key technical knowledge in electro-mechanics you will technically lead in global projects and contribute to innovation, strategic technology plan and project portfolio.

Your responsibilities

• Working on next generation product development being part of a multi-national project team
• Leading in projects technically, conducting feasibility studies, contributing to risk analysis, failure mode and effects analysis, test plan and product scope
• Analyzing and solving complex technical and physical problems with your expert knowledge and analytical skills
• Supporting laboratory, production engineering and quality with your technical knowledge
• Pursuing new ideas for technology innovation, acting as a link to product management, integrating ideas into the strategic technology plan, driving them towards new product offering
• Collaborating with international R&D team, laboratories and research centers
• Developing project IP strategies, as well as identifying and managing risks in R&D projects
• Keeping up to date with technologies, tools and methods, and implementing initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction

Your background

• A Master’s degree level in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or similar with experience in R&D
• Leadership skills, willingness to lead in technology, methods and projects
• Proven experience in product development within the field of electro-mechanics, electro-magnetics, electrical contacts
• Demonstrable analytical skills, ability to explain physics
• Strong communication skills, English and German fluent
• A collaborative & solutions-oriented working attitude
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new things.
• Sound knowledge in CAD and PLM systems, PTC/CREO, PTC/Windchill, Solidworks preferred
