    The field of industrial flow measurement technology, as well as the instrumentation sector in general, is currently undergoing a serious process of change, especially in the area of measurement and communication technology, with the aim of optimizing the value chain in an increasingly networked environment by means of high-precision, intelligent and low-power sensors to enable more sustainable use of our resources and increase efficiency. Specifically, your field of application will be in the area of analog and digital circuit development. Here you will take responsibility for the entire development process, from the idea, through implementation, to release. You will operate interfaces to design, hardware-related software development and enter the land of worldwide and international standards and approvals.     Your responsibilities

    • Design, analysis, evaluation and testing of flow measurement systems and their electronic components and parts for the purpose of new development or optimization.
    • Create detailed technical specification for hardware components in close cooperation with designers, firmware developers and approval bodies.
    • Evaluation of technical questions regarding hardware components and their feasibility.
    • Design and development of analog and digital hardware solutions (measurement technology, PCBA, FPGA, microprocessor controlled circuits, etc.).
    • Close cooperation with firmware developers, also taking over hardware-related software tasks.
    • Demonstration of robust design through simulation, analysis and qualification strategies, risk and failure management in the development process and their documentation
    • Planning, organizing and supporting the execution of measurements during development and product releases.
    • Preparation of manufacturing documents for series production.
    • Close cooperation with other functions and suppliers, if necessary coordination of external partners for hardware-related services.
    • Supporting the development department in meeting standard requirements for product design, product labeling and product documentation.

    Your background

    • Successfully completed studies (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in the field of electrical engineering or similar studies.
    • Very good knowledge in the development of electronic analog and digital circuits, creating circuit diagrams, PCB layouts and circuit simulation.
    • High interest in intelligent and power-saving and therefore also sustainable electronics combined with the willingness to go technologically new and innovative ways.
    • Knowledge in the development of high-precision, low-noise and power-saving measurement electronics would be desirable.
    • Several years of relevant professional experience in the development of electronics in embedded systems as a hardware designer.
    • Knowledge of low voltage, EMC and explosion proof compatible designs.
    • Knowledge of FPGA development and VHDL programming would be desirable.
    • Programming knowledge of embedded systems in C.
    • Strong ability to work in a team and interest in working in an international environment.
    • Strong quality awareness and high customer and service orientation.
    • Knowledge of development processes, methods and technology.
    • Very good communication skills in German and English.
