    R&D Project Engineer

    ABB's Measurement & Analytics division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers. With thousands of experts around the world and high-performance digital technology, ABB's team is dedicated to making measurement easy for its industrial and energy customers to let them operate more efficiently and profitably. As a project engineer, you are responsible of a multidisciplinary project team, you coordinate the execution and guide the design of analyzers and remote sensors for process analysis, defense and security and aerospace missions.

    Your responsibilities

    • Do the technical coordination of a multidisciplinary project team.
    • Hold weekly project meetings with the technical team with Agile methodology.
    • Follow up on technical actions and plan short-term schedules.
    • Assist the project manager in strategic and execution planning, as well as project costs follow-up.
    • Define the effort required to meet the objectives and follow-up on these estimates.
    • Act as the technical point of contact for the client.
    • Oversee system conformity and technical risk management.
    • Capture and manage system requirements for projects with various levels of complexity.
    • Collaborate with the Test and Integration team in defining and developing test plans as well as verification and validation strategies.

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or the equivalent.
    • Background in infrared optical system development.
    • At least 5 years’ experience as a system leader on projects.
    • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to influence others toward achievement of a common goal.
    • Strong analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Bilingual English and French, spoken and written.
