R&D Senior Engineer

You will be working as R&D Senior Engineer, reporting to R&D Team Lead for Motion business area, Drive Products division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for working with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB MODP division

Your responsibilities

• Designing, coding, and setting up automation-based testing of software products based on the requirements
• Developing solutions and successfully taking on complex technical problems and higher responsibilities
• Demonstrating innovation in processes followed and/or solutions delivered and encouraged it within the team
• Setting up a continuous build environment to speed up software development and deployment process
• Maintaining systems by identifying and correcting software defects. Creating design documents, technical specifications, and test cases in line with quality systems
• Adhering to processes, defined software development methodologies and best practices within the team
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

Your background

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, electronics, electrical, instrumentation engineering or equivalent
• 7 to 10 years of experience on advanced C#, .NET, .NET Core, WebAPI, Unit Testing (Nunit/Xunit), XML, LINQ, design patterns
• 2+ year of experience in cloud development, preferably Azure. 2+ year of experience in HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap
• Experience in Azure DevOps continuous integration, configuration management
• Strong concepts on JavaScript frameworks like ReactJs, Node.Js, Vue.Js, OOPS
• Strong concepts of Object-oriented Programming System (OOPS), TypeScript
• Good knowledge on using entity framework/ entity framework core
