You will be working as R&D Software Developer and will be part of Electrification business for Distribution Solutions division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology and/or product development by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks.

Your responsibilities

• As a R&D Software engineer, this role demands programming embedded systems in substations application
• Contributing to R&D projects with own, creative ideas. Proposing follow-up projects and activities within own technical area based on new ideas
• This role demands solid demonstration of technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology/engineering assignments, mainly in research and development (R&D) projects, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions
• This development needs strong knowledge in Software development methodologies and quality process and practices as per CMMI, good knowledge in power systems domain especially about protection & control relays and systems
• As a solid R&D project member and contributor, with experience as project or sub-project leader, ensures alignment with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and coordinates activities. Demonstrating sound understanding of, and actively applies, R&D processes and tools

Your background

• Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Technology - Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 4-8 years of experience
• Working experience in software Product development of Power system domain
• Good in protocols like DNP3, IEC 103, IEC 104 will be added advantage
• Good Understanding on 61850 & Conformance testing will be added advantage
• Good in C, RTOS, Device drivers for Embedded systems and Good Debugging capabilities
