R&D Sr Engineer Devops

You will be working as R&D Sr Engineer Devops and will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be a part of Process Automation Business for Energy Industries division, located in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product and/or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Uses unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Acting as the first line contact in R&D/SW development/Product engineering for the specific product related issues and maintenance.

Your responsibilities

• Working on Configuration Management activities and developing plans
• Working on creating and automating build management and participating in CCB meetings
• Knowledge on cybersecurity concepts and activities and working with project managers to define scope, features and estimates for new projects
• Planning project activities with local and remote teams and working directly on development tasks; provide technical leadership; coordinate with other resources and create high and quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
• Should be proficient or have the capability of becoming proficient at installing, configuring, developing a workflow
• process, troubleshooting the software, and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches
• Having clear & concise documentation and work procedures and should have hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
• Should have familiarity with PowerShell Scripts and experience/familiarity with Windows Installing Tools like InstallShield/WiX will be an added advantage

Your background

• B.E / B.Tech / Mech, MCA with 60% and above
• Required 6 to 10 years of experience in relational database Oracle / SQL Server/ PostgreSQL, time series database
• Should have excellent troubleshooting skills at module, product & system levels using any of the tools like
• DebugDiag, WinDbg (system internal tools)
• Knowledge on Digital Signatures (binaries and Exe)
• Having expertise in setup CI/CD pipeline from scratch in Azure DevOps/TFS/Git. Set the branch/merge strategy as required by the project
• Creation of build and version control of the same and creation of packages for a release
• Deployment of the builds/packages in Cloud environment and integration of static code analysis, test frameworks as part of the pipeline. Expertise in InstallShield for packaging
