R&D Team Leader Egypt

You will be working as R&D Team Leader Egypt and will be part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Technology Center Manager Norway and will be responsible for the proper and quality assured execution of the CHTET funded R&D projects, working to standardize reporting and documentation to ensure a higher degree of uniformity between projects and prioritizing the testing/prototyping capacity based on the project needs and overall priority

Your responsibilities

• Serving as a technical resource for the team and providing technical support for internal and external contacts
• Recommending, developing and improving processes, procedures and tools to enhance team operations
• Evaluating market requirements and providing feedback to appropriate product, manufacturing and R&D strategies
• Supporting and overseeing transfer of technology and knowledge within the team and the larger organization as well as with external resources and communities
• Building, developing and maintaining trust-based relationships with internal (other R&D units, product management, operations, business management) and external (customers, standardization bodies, universities, etc.) contacts
• Actively contributing to scientific and/or technical bodies both inside and outside the company
• Working with neighboring organizations and management to ensure appropriate representation of needs for the R&D team to be successful

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience as team leader or projects manager is desirable.
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
