R&D Test Engineer

As a R&D Test Engineer for Electrification Business Area in Xiamen, China, you will be responsible for ABB Asset Management related system and integration test, End to end test for the whole data flow (Switch Gear, Circuit breaker, Sensor, Smart Monitoring & Diagnostic devices, IoT Gateway device, Cloud/on Premise system).

This position reports to

R&D Department Lead

Your responsibilities

• Building and Maintaining the Digital Lab Verification Platform, complete MV Asset Management related function test and application test.
• Being responsible for Low level Smart Monitoring & Diagnostic devices and IoT Gateway related tests.
• Analyzing user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Collaborating closely with other team members and departments
• Providing support and documentation

Your background

• More than 3-years’ experience in Medium Voltage Switch Gear manufacturing, testing, service related
• Good sense on Electrical Safety, Familiar with Electrical Safety guidelines
• Familiar with ABB Medium Voltage Switchgears and Digital solutions
• MV filed service experience required, familiar with Medium Voltage substation filed operation guidelines
• Familiar with Electrical knowledge, capable of complex electrical system Design and development individually
• Familiar with Electrical Circuit and Linux system
• Good Defect Analyzing skill
