    Regional Sales Manager

    You will be accountable for sales of PC Sales DC, Electrification Power Conversion (ELPC), driving sales volumes and margins. This is an outside, direct sales position responsible for sales growth in the Southwest region. The candidate is accountable for generating new orders by planning and executing sales transactions, which address and provide solutions for business systems needs. This position reports to the ELPC US Southwest Sales Director and can be located in Texas, Arkansas or Oklahoma.

    Your responsibilities

    • Be responsible for primary outside sales and relationship interface for assigned accounts, as well as developing new accounts
    • Sell DC, low voltage products and services to include engineering, installation, commissioning and aftermarket services into assigned telecommunication/data center accounts
    • Achieve sales quotas by selling to new and existing customers
    • Manage large accounts, specialized accounts, partners and 3rd parties
    • Maintain and increase market share within region and assigned accounts
    • Follow up on qualified leads, perform marketing activities, determine configurations, develop proposals with Field Application Engineers and maintain frequent customer visits
    • Compile all relevant data to determine the exact nature of the customer's business needs and develop solutions utilizing internal resources
    • Serve as primary interface for assigned customers
    • Drive account development, assist with sales plans and forecasting
    • Present proposals which address customer requirements
    • Prepare and/or direct preparation of service order activities correspondence
    • Utilize CRM tools, maintain orders opportunity databases, develop needs assessments and distribute appropriate documentation to team members for cost estimates, contract preparation process, etc
    • Negotiate price and finalize contract terms and conditions to “close the deal”
    • Performs direct sales and marketing activities, including lead follow up, strategic account planning, building relationships with potential customers, fact finding, analyzing business processes in relation to current systems, uncovering applications cost justification of new systems and applications

    Your background

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and minimum of 5 years of experience in Telecom, Data Center or related industry Sales
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the designated territory
    • Position requires the ability to travel an average of 60% of the time during a typical workweek
    • The position must be located in Texas, Oklahoma or Arkansas
    • Understanding of DC Power architectures and services for Communications, Data Center and Industrial markets
    • Experience working within a consultative sales process
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate with, and influence customers regarding major sales campaigns
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
    • Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
    • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
    • Effective problem identification and resolution skills
    • Proven analytical and organizational ability
    • Proficient with Salesforce.com
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
