As our Sales Leader for our electric buses and transit charging infrastructure business segment, you will be accountable for evaluating customer requirements, developing and implementing sales strategies designed to satisfy those requirements while maximizing profits, improving performance, and ensuring optimum levels of customer satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with the ABB Sales Team to ensure targets are met for the Bus & Transit Segment.     VP Sales Transit & Bus Charging Solutions, E-mobility

    Your responsibilities

    • Execute a segment specific sales plan that delivers value to direct and indirect customers as it is impacts the growth of ABB E-Mobility products and solutions
    • Assess continuously market trends, customers, competitors, industries, applications and country analyses to identify and realize opportunities with existing and potential new customers within the target segment
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive database of utility industry decision-makers as it pertains to EV policy, adoption, and EV Charging Infrastructure implementation
    • Understand the changing regulatory policies affecting EV infrastructure, and become the Internal and external subject matter expert, to help drive strategy
    • Responsible for direct involvement and support to:
    • RFI, RFQ and RFP technical specification review and inputs and responses
    • Influencing technical specifications for product and application positioning
    • ABB presence on relevant industry standards committees as needed
    • Understanding of Contract Structure and Terms and Conditions
    • Work closely with transit agencies and consultants, work to align product requirements with the product group and support interoperability and design input into ABB product roadmap
    • Attend and participate and represent ABB at key industry events

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a Business Development or Sales role, preferably in the Electrification Transportation, or Energy & Power Utilities industries; Master’s Degree a plus
    • In lieu of having a degree, will consider 12 or more years of direct experience in a sales role within the transportation industry, preferably in the Tier 1 vehicle OEM market
    • Experience with grid modernization projects and a broad knowledge of Smart Grid, distributed energy resources, and energy storage technologies
    • Ability to influence and close sales with utilities, municipalities, and transit agencies is required
    • Experience in managing and understanding channels to market and when to utilize is highly preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and leadership skills
    • Must be willing and able to travel nationally up to 50% to support key business development efforts
    • Must be able to work independently in a senior level individual contributor sales role, while maintaining and growing relationships within the broader ABB EV Infrastructure team
    • Salary Range for this position: 120K -130K Base salary, plus 35% Sales Incentive Bonus
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
    • International relocation is not available for this position
