As our U.S. Sales Leader for our Public Charging Business Segment, you will be accountable for the EV-Charging sales strategy and execute business plans focusing on the Public Segment nationally, including the Charge-point Operator (CPO) Market, and other Public EM sales supporting organizations and responding to RFQ’s / RFI’s targeting large-scale public EV Charging project and opportunities. You’ll represent ABB E-mobility and drive top line growth in the Public Segment, by building strategic relationship with key accounts, and will work collaboratively with the ABB Sales Team to ensure targets are met for the Public Segment.     Your responsibilities

    • Act and represent ABB as an expert in the NEVI programs, and define strategy to ensure successful sales of ABB NEVI Representing ABB as an expert in the NEVI programs, you’ll define strategy to ensure successful sales of ABB NEVI units into the market
    • Lead the response in NEVI and other Public Segment RFQ / RFI to ensure successful sale of ABB EM products.
    • Define appropriate local targets for the sales unit, based on key objectives set by Business Units and global segment leaders
    • Assess continuously market trends, customers, competitors, industries, applications and country analyses to identify and realize opportunities with existing and potential new customers within the target segment
    • Provide feedback to the Business Units/Product Groups on market trends, competitive landscape, market-pricing expectations, channel strategy and local conditions to win
    • Build and maintain strong relationships at senior levels with key customers, stakeholders, and other decision makers; Ensure effective marketing communications, in particular ABB’s value proposition
    • Ensures achievement of sales volume and targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales booked locally, and participate in negotiation of key contracts
    • Accountable for maximizing ABB e-Mobility and EV charging sales to publicly offered charge-point customers in the U.S.
    • Implement a plan for segment RFP’s, RFQ’s, & RFI’s and ensure timely and accurate responses and proactively position ABB EV Charging Infrastructure products and services for success
    • Manage partner relationships with independent reps, sales and service teams and ABB’s sales team
    • Attend and participate and represent ABB at key industry events

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Transportation Electrification sales or technical project management; Master’s Degree a plus
    • In lieu of having a degree, will consider 12 or more years of direct experience in a sales role within the transportation industry, preferably in the Tier 1 vehicle OEM market
    • Must have demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of contract negotiations, risk management, and evaluation, development and establishment of commercial and legal terms
    • Knowledge of the Charge-point Operator Services industry and/or the electrical grid is preferred
    • Direct industry and market knowledge of electric vehicle charging is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and leadership skills
    • Ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time as needed so support key development efforts
    • Must be able to work independently in a senior level individual contributor sales role, while maintaining and growing relationships within the broader ABB EV Infrastructure team
    • Salary Range for this position: 120K -130K Base salary, plus 35% Sales Incentive Bonus
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
    • International relocation is not available for this position
