    Join us as Sales Specialist for the Process Automation, Mining Business Line in Australia. You will be responsible for the sales of solutions, services, and product offerings to the Mining industry. Achieving both qualitative and quantitative sales targets in a profitable way, order growth, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction. You will have access to the full suite of ABB’s Mining portfolio, covering from state-of-the-art distributed control systems to de-carbonization mining solutions.You will also be supported by local and global technical specialists and a highly experienced proposals team, ensuring you have all the tools to succeed. This Position can be based in Fortitude Valley (QLD) or Perth (WA), Australia.

    Your responsibilities

    • Selling systems/services to Mining customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned product lines
    • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering
    • Preparing sales plans using company tools and performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls
    • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
    • Supporting the project management team in the negotiation of Variation Orders and SLA Agreements
    • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value propositions to customers and preparing offers in coordination with the bids and proposal department and/or the marketing manager and ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers
    • Maintaining an accurate pipeline through the usage of the Salesforce, account management for your assigned clients and willingness to travel to customer sites (~30% of the time estimated)

    Your background

    • 5+ years of Systems/Services Sales experience with Automation (DCS, PLC / SCADA systems), VSD Applications and Electrification with Engineering background
    • Experience dealing with complex large organizations (Tier 1 / Tier 2) and mining Industry experience and networking will be advantageous
    • Significant sales drive focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals and strong understanding of sales processes and related tools
    • Knowledge of customer-service principles and practices including a demonstrated responsibility for and ownership of customer issues
    • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
    • Excellent computer skills and exposure to Salesforce or knowledge of is advantageous
