You will be working as Sales Specialist and will be the part of Motion business area for IEC LV Motors division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Ritesh Rughoonandan and will be responsible for sales of motor products within a designated market in accordance with strategy, building long term customer relationships and managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues, identifying and developing sales opportunities
Your responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, aligning to provide a solution and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process
- Selling products/system to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned business units/product groups, visiting customers to build a lead and opportunity pipeline and running the negotiations with the customers and securing the business to the agreed margins
- Preparing sales plans using company tools, performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plan(s) in case of potential order shortfalls, identifying and prioritizing new business opportunities in line with strategic priorities
- Creating added value for the customer and ABB, ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, proposals by using effective sales techniques, communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions)
- Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process by strong customer support and quick issue resolution
- Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers, managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when needed
- Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market, ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration, monitoring customer and market trend, communicating with global or regional team to get required support to develop business
Your background
- Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years track record in sales or engineering related field to demonstrate capability to achieve business results
- Experience in business development with sales records for new customers/markets, market and products specific knowledge of motor products compulsory
- Fluency in English language is mandatory
