CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Formulates competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation. • Ensures tenders are well-documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs. • Leads and manages the planning and preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions. • Ensures that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures. • Leads external services, such as translations and governmental approvals, to support bid and estimation preparation. • Manages the collection and archival of documentation regarding the offer/order and recording of assumptions and decisions made during development. • Ensures the status of the bids, estimates, and quotations are reported regularly using defined tools and reasons for both lost and won tenders are collected and analyzed. • Identifies potential risks in the bids, quotations, estimates, and related contract agreements across customers/channels and takes appropriate action. • Provides information and/or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy. • Ensures the information required to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements, is collected and collated in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures. • Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. • Ensures technical support is provided to Sales Managers during technical meetings with customers.
