As a Sales Support Specialist for Motion Business Area in Guangzhou, China, you will support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process. Serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

Sales Support Manager

Your responsibilities

• Offering technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers with ABB products/systems/applications. Providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations
• Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs. Proposing technical solutions for complex enquiries. Supporting the off-site and on-site service from technical side
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues
• Offering product/solution/service-related training
• Managing the process of translating the training material of the product and training courseware
• Following and collecting customer need and competitor information for R&D
• Supporting product group including Low voltage drive, MV general purpose drive
• Performing other technical tasks related to SD business

Your background

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical/ Power Electronics
• Minimum 5 years’ Engineering experience on drive system. Low voltage drives, medium voltage drives background is preferred
• Should possess good communication and problem-solving skills
• Communication/coordination skills cross departments in both Chinese and English is desired
• Should be result-orientated and very responsible with strong ability to solve problems
• Good teamwork with internal and external relevant person
• Able to travel about a third or half of working days
