    Sales Support Specialist

    This is a Sales Support Specialist role, reporting to the Sales Support Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to support the sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

    Your responsibilities

    • Support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. Provide technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations, and negotiations and offer product/solution-related training.
    • Prepare/support the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business unit/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives. Participate in the kick-off meeting organized by the project team.
    • Define the cost for the proposed solution and communicate it to the Sales organization.
    • Provide information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participate in the risk review assessment.
    • Analyse customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization.
    • Perform lost proposal analysis, identify the potential causes, and recommend future actions in cooperation with the Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.

    Your background

    • B.E/ B.Tech (Instrumentation/ Electronics) from a reputed university.
    • 4-10 Years of relevant work experience in sales support, bids, and proposal.
    • Specialized knowledge of water quality analyzers, gas analysers, and gas analysis systems.
    • Experience in product selection and configuration, quotation preparation, technical document compliance, vendor coordination, Full-Cost Model calculation, and technical query clarification.
    • Familiar with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Retro Rabigh company standards and Saudi Arabia market requirements.
    • Knowledge of Sales Operations Tools – Salesforce Opportunity Management, Reports, and Dashboards.
    • Exposure and understanding of the industrial processes - Power Plant, Water, Metals & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Pulp Paper.
    • Exposure to International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS 2020).
