To strengthen our Benelux IS Department, we are looking for a SAP Service and Release Manager which has a great sense of responsibility, takes ownership and leads with a pro-active customer focus and has a profound SAP background. In this role you will have end-to-end responsibility for managing day-to-day Operations of our SAP BNL environment and drive SAP changes, bundled in SAP releases, to successful implementation. As an SAP Service and Release Manager in the ABB IS organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced, international environment, solve complex problems, participate in building our IS solution capability and grow together with the rapidly developing business.

    Your responsibilities

    • Independently secure all operational aspects and availability of the BNL SAP application and surrounding environment (interfaces); act as IS Application manager and backup of the SAP Application owner.
    • Work in close contact with business (key users), IS management and service providers (mainly) on SAP related operational topics.
    • Manage cross functional escalations of incidents, coordinate with business, ABB IS and service providers.
    • Monitor and improve quality of the application support processes and services provided by 3rd party service providers.
    • Monitor Service Level Agreements with involved parties.
    • Coordinate technical changes and/or small projects.
    • Coordinate process changes in application support processes (Incident- and change management, user access management)
    • Manage IS change application (Solution Manager).
    • Plan, prioritize SAP changes into Releases.
    • Monitor and report progress on changes in Releases.
    • Communication of final release contents.
    • Coordinate Cutover of SAP releases.
    • Coordinate handover to Operations.
    • Maintain and Publish Release schedule.
    • Charging of Release changes to business.
    • Pro-actively search for continuous improvement on SAP Release management.

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in the field of IT or equivalent SAP experience.
    • Minimum of 7 years hands-on and leadership experience supporting SAP platforms.
    • Solution Manager (CHARM)
    • ITIL
    • SAP basis , e.g. transport management.
    • Project management (e.g. Prince2)
    • Flexibility, pro-activeness, organizational sensitivity.
    • Taking end-to-end Ownership.
    • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure.
    • Coordination skills, experience with offshore outsourcing partners (India).
    • Excellent communication skills, Dutch and English.
