SCM Manager

You will be working as SCM Manager, reporting to Business Manager – Operations from Motion business area, Traction division based in Vadodara, India. You will be responsible for leading a team of procurement specialists to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and overall reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Ensuring execution in accordance with company and Supply Chain Management (SCM) instructions and procedures.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborating with global category team during global negotiation process. Managing specific projects, collaborating with proposal, project, and category teams to determine necessary items for procurement during the project
• Collaborating with marketing team for tender stage cost improvements and securing projects orders
• Applying and implementing ABB SCM standard, tools, and processing in procurement and vendor
• Using of SAP Ariba tool to On-boards new suppliers as per ABB supplier on boarding policy and runs regular supplier evaluations
• Overseeing supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolving performance issues
• Managing planning, forecasting and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets and saving forecasts
• Collaborating with marketing team for upcoming tenders and ensuring timely forecast to all the global and local supply base based on the lead time of suppliers

Your background

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in in handling Project Management for large customers
• Experience in using Supply Chain management tools and templates
• Knowledge in estimation and forecasting techniques and quality standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking skills
